Meet Chef Ishwant Kaur
I began my journey in 2018, right after finishing school. While pursuing my graduation, I enrolled in a pastry course—at first, simply to explore my interest. I once imagined myself becoming a psychologist, but my love for travel and pastries gently pulled me toward the world of baking, where I truly felt at home.
Over the years, I’ve trained at APCA, attended exclusive masterclasses in France and Singapore, and gained hands-on experience through internships and professional kitchens that shaped my skills and discipline. Each experience deepened my passion and helped me evolve into the chef I am today.
In 2020, I started Sugar Bells with small-batch jams and spreads, all while managing a full-time job. For a while, it was something I ran on and off, but in 2023, I finally took the leap and committed myself fully to building Sugar Bells. From the very beginning, the constant support of my close friends and family has been my biggest strength.
My journey has taken me across the globe—from mastering the elegance of classic French pastry to exploring modern, innovative techniques in Singapore. This diverse training has shaped my unique style: a thoughtful fusion of timeless tradition and contemporary artistry, crafted to bring joy, beauty, and flavour to every creation.
